Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #20-208 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING SETTLEMENT AGREEMENT WITH MINNESOTA <br />DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION FOR PARKING LOT ENCROACHMENT <br />ONTO HIGHWAY 10 RIGHT OF WAY <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey acquired Tract C, Registered Land Survey No. 151 <br />("Subject Property") for future Highway 10 improvements; and <br />WHEREAS, in 2012, it was discovered that the parking lot on the Subject Property <br />encroached onto Highway 10 right of way; and <br />WHEREAS, the Minnesota Department of Transportation has requested that these <br />encroachments be temporarily barricaded until a longer -term solution can be approved.; <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, COUNTY OF ANOKA, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1) That the Ramsey City Council hereby approves the Settlement Agreement with the <br />Minnesota Department of Transportation for parking lot encroachments onto Highway 10 <br />right of way. <br />That the motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by <br />and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor: <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br />and the following were absent: <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this <br />24th of November, 2020. <br />Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br />City Clerk <br />
