CC Regular Session 5. 19. <br />Meeting Date: 11/24/2020 <br />By: Grant Riemer, Engineering/Public <br />Works <br />Information <br />Title <br />Update Contract with RJM Construction for Construction of the New Public Works Facility <br />Purpose/Background: <br />Purpose: <br />The purpose of this case is to update the city's contract with RJM Construction to include the final construction <br />costs for the new PW Facility. <br />Background: <br />The original RFP that RJM Construction original responded to was for construction of a new PW facility with an <br />estimated cost of $13 million. That estimated cost was provided to RJM from a 2015 space needs study performed <br />by BKV Group. The contract amendment will include all finalized costs of construction approved by council at the <br />November loth meeting which is $17,338,423.000. This amount includes the alternate #1 which increased the size <br />of the building to address the future needs of the City at full development. <br />Notification: <br />N/A <br />Observations/Alternatives: <br />Attached to the case is a file named RJM Contract Back up. The costs highlighted in yellow are all the costs that <br />were unknown at the time when the original RFP was written. Now that the cost for construction has been finalized <br />and approved at $17,338,423.00 (incudes base bid and alternate #1) these costs can be added into the final contract <br />for approval.
