"cumulative potential effects of related or anticipated future projects" when determining
the need for an environmental impact statement. Identify any past, present or reasonably
foreseeable future projects that may interact with the project described in this EAW in
such a way as to cause cumulative impacts. Describe the nature of the cumulative
impacts and summarize any other available information relevant to determining whether
there is potential for significant environmental effects due to cumulative impacts (or
discuss each cumulative impact .under appropriate item(s) elsewhere on this form).
Futnre residential and commercial development of the service area has been considered in the planning of this
project. The trunk sewer has been sized to accommodate ultimate wastewater flows following development of the
service area. The trunk sewer line will be placed in locations that best meet the long-term goals of the community.
There is a competing issue with the goals of many communities in balancing residential development with
agricnltura[ needs, open space, and natural resources while trying to'retain a sense of place. Urbanization has
become an issue in many areas, and is only becoming a larger issue because of the need to preserve natural areas
and open space. Through these competing issues, many environmental resources, former open spaces and farmland
have decreased and infrastructure costs as roads and sewer system extensions have increased.
The potential environmental impacts fi~om future planned dex/el0pment will be mitigated through enforcement of
h)cal, state, and federal ordinances and regulations. Individual development projects may be subject to
environmental review and the preparation of project-specific EAWs or an Alternative Urban Areawide Revieav
(AUAR). Any sanitary sewer extensions will require a permit from the MPCA.

If the project may cause any adverse environmental impacts not addressed by items 1 to
28, identify and discuss them here, along with any proposed mitigation.
This project is not believed to cause any anticipated adverse environmental impacts that have not been addressed by
this EAW.

Do not complete this section if the EAW is being done for ElS scoping; instead, address
relevant issues in the draft Seeping Decision document, which must accompany the
EAW. List any impacts and issues identified above that may require further investigation
before the project is begun. Discuss anY alternatives or mitigative measures that have
been or may be considered for these impacts and issues, including those that have been
or may be ordered as permit conditions.
Tile City of Ramsey must acquire the previously mentioned permits and approvals prior to proceeding with
construction. Detailed plans and specifications must be reviewed and approved prior to construction. Issues
identitied in this EAW that may require additional investigation include:

· The potential presence of wetland areas will be ascertained through the completion of a field survey prior
to construction. If applicable, required authorization for temporary impacts will be obtained.

· Erosion and sediment control plans will be prepared.by the project and approved by the lVlPCA prior to
any construction.

· Blanding's turtle identification information will be provided'fo:the contractor, as will methods to avoid or
minimize impact, t0.!he species.. ''
· Soil borings will be completed to assess Soil siability. ;"
