Counci hncmber introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION #05-06-XXX <br /> <br />RESOI.UTION RECEIVING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR THE 2005 <br />PAVEMENT MAINTENANCE PROGRAM - DIVISION A CRACKSEALING AND <br />SEAl.COATING (IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS 05-01 THROUGH 05-05) <br /> <br /> WItEREAS, the Ramsey City Council authorized the preparation of plans and <br />spccifications for thc above referenced work; and <br /> <br /> WItEREAS, the Ramsey City Council approved the plans and specifications and the <br />advcrliscment for bids for the above-referenced work on May 10, 2005; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the 2005 Street Maintenance <br />I'rogram, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law on June 8, 2005; and <br /> <br /> Wit EREAS, the following bids were received for the 2005 Street Maintenance Program <br /> <br />Division A Cracksealing and Sealcoating: <br /> <br />Bidder Amount of Bid <br /> <br />Allied Blacktop Co. <br />Pearson Brothers Inc <br />ASTECH <br />Engineer Estimate <br /> <br />$165~129.95 <br />$183,030.35 <br />$238,598.35 <br />$179,097.00 <br /> <br />AND WHEREAS, Allied Blacktop Co. is the lowest responsible bidder. <br /> <br />NOW TItEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That the Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a <br />contract with Allied Blacktop Co. in the name of the City of Ramsey for the 2005 <br />Pavement Maintenance Program - Division A, Cracksealing and Sealcoating <br />(hnprovcment Projects 05-01 through 05-05) in the amount of $165,129.95. <br /> <br />]'lac motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />_ __ and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereofi <br /> <br />and thc lbllowing voted against the same: <br /> <br />and thc tbllowing abstained: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #05-06-XXX <br /> Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
