CASE #5 Consider Request by Ramsey Town Center to Extend the Deadline for Placing the Second Bituminous Lift on New Streets Background: Staff has rcceivcd a letter from RTC asking to hold off from the deadline for placing the second bituminous lift on East Ramsey Parkway, Peridot Street and 147th Avenue. Staff rccommcnds they allow all of the streets to not be paved during the 2005 construction season duc to all of the construction that is planned. Motion to rccommend that the City Council not require placement of the second lift of bituminous on East Ramsey Parkway, Peridot Street and 147th Avenue in the 2005 construction season. Action: Rati fy thc recommendation of the Public Works Committee. CASE #6 Consider Acquisition of Certain Tax Forfeit Lands Background: Thc City has been notified by Anoka County that a property located in Section 4, just south of thc Burns Township line has become available for acquisition as tax forfeit property. A rcvicw of this property shows that it is wetland and could serve public use for drainage purposes. Staff indicated the cost of the tax forfeit land would be approximately $200. Motion to recommend to City Council to purchase the tax forfeit land located on the northern boundary of the City adjacent to Burus Township for drainage and utility purposes. Action:
