Resolution #2005-56 dated April 12, 2005, classifying certain forfeit lands in Anoka County. <br /> <br />A classification and sale approval form listing the lands classified in Resolution #2005-56 that lie within your <br />jurisdiction, which is to be signed, sealed and returned t'o the county along with a copy of the'motion or resolution <br />of your gov.erning body approving the classification and sale. <br /> <br />A form for the forfeit parcels shown on the list of forfeit lands in your jurisdiction to help us analyze and appraise <br />the parcel. We ask that you complete and return these forms to us. <br /> <br />D. A verification of special assessments form that .is to be completed, signed, sealed and returned to the county. <br /> <br />Chapter 282.01, Subdivision 1, of the Minnesota .Statutes requires that the town board or governing body of a municipality <br />must approve the classification and sale of forfeit parcels that lie Within their jurisdiction. If disapproval of any parcel is not <br />made within 60 days from the date of this letter, it is deemed that the town board or governing body has approved the <br />classification and sale. <br /> <br />If the to~vn board or governing body desires to acquire any parcel lying within the boundaries of the municipality, it shall, <br />within 60 days of the request for classification and sale approval, file a written application with the county board to with.hold <br />the parcel from sale. The county board will then withhold the parcel from sale for slx months. <br /> <br />[f the town board or governing body fails to acquire the property within the witttholding per/od, the .county may offerit for <br />sale upon expiration of the withholding period. <br /> <br />A municipality or township will have to pay maintenance costs'incurred by the county (if any) during the six months the <br />propm%, is withheld from public sale, and if the parcel, is not offered for public sale after the six monthperiod. <br /> <br />All parcels on the list are still within the repurchase period. If you desire to acquire any parcels still within the repurchase <br />period, you can tile an application which can be acted upon at the appropriate time, assuming the county board does not <br />allow repurchase of the parcel. <br /> <br /> <br />
