Discovered old or broken strands of
lights while decorating your home for the holidays? Rather than tossing your old strings of lights
in the garbage, bring them to the Ramsey City Hall during regular business hours (Monday –
Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm) to recycle them for free! A drop-off bin for old holiday lights, as well
as electric cords, telephone cords, and appliance cords, will be located in the lobby now through
the end of January.

Recycle cardboard boxes at Ramsey Public Works.
Anyone else's recycling bins overflowing
with cardboard? We've got you covered! There are two recycling containers available for residents
to recycle all those extra cardboard boxes that have been piling up in the garage. The containers
are located at our public works facility - 14100 Jaspar Street NW.

Skating Rink Information
.
Due to the warm weather, skating rinks at Central Park and Ramsey
Elementary will not open on December 19 as planned. With daytime projected temperatures in the 30s
and 40s, the water is not able to freeze. The new opening date for the skating rinks at Central Park,
Ramsey Elementary and Municipal Plaza Park (located across Sunwood from City Hall) will be
January 1. Because of the most recent executive order, warming houses will be able to open, but with
limited capacity. Central Park warming house will be limited to 12 people maximum, while Ramsey
Elementary will be limited to eight people. If the weather changes from what is forecast, warming
houses may open sooner, but the ice quality is the limiting factor. New this year – an open skating rink
across Sunwood from Ramsey City Hall! There will not be nets, a warming house or restrooms, but
residents are welcome to practice their skating skills or take their sweetheart for a date at the new rink
in the urban center.

Parks and Recreation Events and Updates:

Virtual Art
th

Join us for an additional winter-themed art class on December 19 to create a
o

one-of-a-kind Mixed Media Shadow Snowman!

Spaces are limited.
