This is intended to
provide proof that the elevations conform to the approved grading plan. The changes that were
proposed are intended to help eliminate the backyard drainage problems that have been
experienced with lots and subdivisions that have very flat grades. It also adds some flexibility
for those residents that desire to excavate ponds as long as they do not affect drainage patterns in
the neighborhood. This Ordinance is not intended to supercede other agency's requirements for
excavation in wetlands and protected waterways.

Motion by Councilmember Hendriksen, seconded by Councilmember Zimmerman, to adopt
Ordinance #01-15 an amendment to sections in Chapter 9 of the City Code.

A roll call vote was performed by the Recording Secretary:

Councilmember Kurak aye
Councilmember Zimmerman aye
Councilmember Hendriksen aye
Councilmember Anderson aye
Mayor Gamec aye

City Council/June 26, 2001
