Councilmember Hendriksen stated that the City has required that all storage areas be paved. He
felt that if they require one sales lot to pave the area and another one is not required it would give
that lot a price advantage because their costs weren't as high.

Mayor Gamec inquired if the City would be able to enforce the May 31, 2001 termination date if
the trailers ~ere not removed from the site by that date.

City Attorney Goodrich replied that if the trailers are not removed then the City would have the
ability to go to court and have them ordered to be removed.

Mayor Gamec stated that he would not want the use to be permanent, but he would agree with
approving the temporary use if the permit states that the applicant guarantees removal of the
trailers by May 31, 2002.

City Attorney Goodrich recommended adding the language "For the term of the permit..." to the
beginning of Findings 7 through 15.

Community Development Director Frolik noted that Finding #5 should read May 31, 2002.

Motion by Mayor Gamec, seconded by Councilmember Hendriksen, to adopt Resolution #01-12-
443 adopting Findings of Fact # 0595 relating to a request from Chelsea Autos for an interim use
permit for short term outdoor storage as an accessory use at 7665 Highway #10 NW, Ramsey, as
amended.

Motion carded.. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Hendriksen, Anderson, and
Zimmenrtan. Voting No: None. Abstained: CouncilmemberKurak.

City Attorney Goodrich noted that Condition #2 should be changed to May 31, 2002.

Councilmember Hendriksen inquired if the permit required any type of deposit be placed with
the City.

Community Development Director Frolik replied no.

City Attorney Goodrich recommended adding the language to the permit to state "That upon
execution of the permit the permittee agrees to the terms and to remove the vehicles by May 31,
2002."

Motion by Mayor Gamec, seconded by Councilmember Hendriksen, to adopt Resolution #01-12-
444, as amended, approving the request for an Interim Use Permit to allow for short term outdoor
storage as an accessory use at 7665 Highway #10 NW, Ramsey, based on the findings of fact,
and declaring terms of same.

Motion carded.
