3) <br /> <br />Further discussion: Councilmember Hendriksen stated that he voted against the <br />recommendation because the Committee was handed a piece of paper with four names <br />highlighted and were not given an opportunity to add any candidates. Councilmember <br />Zimmerman stated that he was opposed because he would like to see more candidates <br />than four. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Anderson, and Kurak. <br />Voting No: Councilmembers Hendriksen and Zimmerman. <br /> <br />Consider Revisions to Policy for Appointing Members of City Boards and <br />Commissions <br /> <br />The Personnel Committee reviewed the changes to the policy, but made no <br />recommendation. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Kurak, seconded by Mayor Gamec, to adopt the Policy for <br />Appointing Members of City Boards and Commissions with the exception of the <br />language pertaining to term limits and direct staff to draft the proper ordinance. <br /> <br />Further discussion: Councilmember Zimmerman stated that he felt that interviews should <br />be televised. Councilmember Hendriksen stated that he would vote against the motion <br />because interviews should be held on television. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Kurak, and Anderson. <br />Voting No: Councilmembers Hendriksen and Zimmerman. <br /> <br />MAYOR AND COUNCIL INPUT <br /> <br />1) Snowmobile Complaint <br /> <br />Councilmember Anderson stated that she had received a call regarding a recurring problem with <br />snowmobiles tearing up the end of their driveway. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec replied that the problem is that driveways are placed within the right of way and <br />there is not much that can be done unless they decide to prohibit snowmobiling in the City. <br /> <br />2) Closed Session <br /> <br />City Attorney Goodrich noted that the City Council will be meeting in a closed session <br />December 18th at 5:15 p.m. <br /> <br />City Council/December 11, 2001 <br /> Page 24 of 25 <br /> <br /> <br />
