CC Work Session 2.2. <br />Meeting Date: 11 / 10/2020 <br />Information <br />Title: <br />Review of 2021-2030 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) <br />Purpose/Background: <br />The 2021-2030 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) has been prepared as a strategic planning tool to assist the City <br />Council in identifying proposed capital improvement projects over the next ten years. The CIP is broken down into <br />the following categories: Capital Equipment, Municipal Buildings, Park Improvements, Sewer Improvements, <br />Storm Water Improvements, Street Improvements, Street Light Improvements and Water Improvements. <br />Each project includes preliminary funding sources and appropriate background information citing needs and <br />projected cost estimates. <br />A supplemental section titled 'Future Consideration Projects' has also been included. This is a listing of park projects <br />that are contingent upon availability of resources. These projects are unfunded and unscheduled until resources <br />become available. <br />The CIP must be formally adopted after a public hearing is held. <br />Staff is proposing the following schedule for the adoption of the 2021-2030 CIP: <br />November 10 - Council worksession to further review CIP inclusions <br />November 24- Further worksession review if needed & City Council meeting Schedule Public Hearing Date of <br />December 8 <br />December 8 - Public Hearing & Adopt 2021-2030 CIP <br />Timeframe: <br />30-45 minutes <br />Funding Source: <br />Each project contained within the 2021-2030 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) states the respective funding <br />source(s). <br />Responsible Party(ies): <br />Finance Director & respective department heads <br />Outcome: <br />Review and discuss the 2021-2030 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP). <br />Draft 2021-2030 CIP <br />Draft 2021-2030 Park Supplemental <br />Inbox <br />Attachments <br />Form Review <br />Reviewed By Date <br />
