Anoka County Offering Business and Nonprofit Relief Program
— Add 1
Applications will be reviewed on a first -come basis, with all applications being processed
by March 15, 2021. Priority will be given to applicants that were impacted by Executive Order
20-99 and applicants that did not receive a CARES Act grant. Anoka County will contact
businesses or nonprofits with any questions on their applications or to notify them of approval.
"Anoka County has been receiving applications for this funding, but the County Board of
Commissioners has decided to expand the eligibility criteria so this money can be utilized by even
more business owners affected by the pandemic," said Scott Schulte, chair, Anoka County Board
of Commissioners. "There are numerous sole -proprietor, home -based business owners in our
county who provide valuable goods and services, and many of them have endured substantial
financial losses over nearly the past year. Allowing them to access this grant funding will
hopefully help them bridge the gap until in -person goods and services are easier to obtain, and our
economy stabilizes."
-30-
DK: by
