. „ K A : C) 1.,1 <br />Regional Economic Development <br />M u n icipa lity Assistance <br />ACRED has brought resources to help municipalities (partners) with various needs in Economic <br />Development. Examples of those projects can be seen below, plus a snapshot of feedback collected from <br />the cities via survey monkey on the type of assistance received: <br />• COVID Relief Resources: sharing information on the latest federal, state or county resources <br />available to communities on the website and in a ha ndout. Right-of-way policy sharing, Cares act <br />forum with County lobbyist, and responding to requests from community businesses about these <br />resources. <br />• Cares Act Coordination —sharing gra nt guidelines a nd program materialsto help community <br />pa rtners get their progra ms sta rted, connections with grant administrators, and communication <br />to business community about grant resources. <br />• City marketing assistance, including market data, bra nding or economic development strategies, <br />video and photo footage <br />• Fiber Resources — providing contactsfor fiber providers, assistance in finding gapfinancing for <br />projects, and mapping out areas needed for service. <br />• Property Readiness assistance, including - marketing to rget properties, due diligence on a site, <br />connections with stakeholders on a property such as brokers or developers, and coordination <br />with property owners on the community's behalf to help market or attract investment to their <br />property <br />• Business Expa nsions — connecting existing businesses to resources such as PACE financing, state <br />incentives, construction/banking resources, etc. to assist in the project progression. <br />• Based on city survey feedback, this was the type of assista nce provided directly to the cities <br />o Assistance with creating an economic development plan <br />o Assistance with marketing or advertising for business development <br />o Making connections with site selectors, developers or businesses <br />o Assistance with using state and local fina ncing tools for business expa nsion efforts <br />o Assistance with searching for sites & buildings <br />o Assistance with business expansion, development or redevelopment opportunities <br />o Assistance with Fiber improvements or provider contacts <br />
