CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a regular meeting on Tuesday, September 11, 2001, at the <br />Ramsey Fire Station Number II, 15050 Nowthen Boulevard NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Thomas Gamec <br />Councilmember Susan E. Anderson <br />Councilmember Terry Hendriksen <br />Councilmember Patti Kurak <br />Councilmember Gerald Zimmerman <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator James E. Norman <br />Community Development Director Sylvia Frolik <br />Director of Public Works/Fire Chief Dean Kapler <br />City Engineer Brian Olson <br />City Attorney William Goodrich <br />Police Chief David Gustafson <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the regular meeting of the City Council to order at 7:05 p.m. and called <br />upon Councilmember Zimmerman to lead in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />Alena Hunter, 14628 Helium Street NW, Ramsey, noted that she wanted to comment during <br />Case #8. She stated that during the Happy Days Parade there will be an enormous and attractive <br />Youth First Float, and wanted to recognize the people that had put together the float. At the <br />August 28th City Council meeting Ms. Hunter addressed the Council in regard to the Chicago <br />tour. She wanted to correct an editorial comment that was made by Councilmember Hendriksen <br />during the Council update on QCTV. Mr. Hendriksen claimed that after Ms. Hunter thanked the <br />City for a nice trip, she preceded to criticize Councilmember Zimmerman for not attending the <br />trip. She felt that Mr. Hendriksen should have listened more closely to what she had actually <br />said which was she missed Councilmember Zimmerman and that it would have been beneficial if <br />he could have been there. <br /> <br />Brent Smith, 15620 Yakima Street NW, Ramsey, stated that one reason transcripts are not heard <br />in court is because presentation and body language has to be taken into account.
