CITY COUNCIL CITY OF RAMSEY ANOKA COUNTY STATE OF MINNESOTA Thc Ramsey City Council conducted a regular meeting on Tuesday, June 14, 2005, at the Ramsey Fire Station Number 1, 15050 Nowthen Boulevard NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. Members Present: Mayor Thomas Gamec Councilmember Todd Cook Councilmember David Elvig Councilmember David Jeffrey Councilmember Mary Jo Olson Councilmember Al Pearson Councilmember Sarah Strommen Members Absent: None Also Present: City Administrator James E. Norman Assistant City Administrator Heidi Nelson Public Works Director Dean Kapler Assistant Public Works Director Brian Olson City Engineer Steve Jankowski Civil Engineer II Leonard Linton Community Development Director Patrick Trudgeon Police Chief James Way City Attorney William Goodrich CALL TO ORDER Mayor Gamec called the regular meeting of the City Council to order at 7:04 p.m., followed by the Pledge of Allegiance led by Councilmember Elvig. Mayor · Gamec stated the following: lle thanked the Ramsey Lions for the Community Picnic and all of the Lions support for the community. Discovery Park opened in the past week. The park is at the east end of Alpine Park and includes a nature trail and walking area. He attended a trip to Loudi, China, which was a working session associated with the sister city relationship between the City of Ramsey and the City of Loudi. There will be an opportunity to bring businesses from Loudi into the Ramsey Industrial Park and to bring product from Ramsey to Loudi. He presented pictures and provided an overview of the trip and opportunities available to Ramsey through the sister city relationship. City Council / June 14, 2005 Page 3 of 29 -53-
