The LRRWMO will review the LWMP following the process and schedule described in <br />Minnesota Statutes 1036.235. Upon LRRWMO approval of the local plan, the city must adopt and <br />implement its plan within 120 days and amend its official controls within 180 days of plan approval. The <br />city must notify the LRRWMO within 30 days of plan adoption and implementation and adoption of <br />necessary official controls. If a city later wishes to amend its plan, it must submit the proposed <br />amendment to the LRRWMO for review of consistency with the LRRWMO Plan following the procedure <br />described in Minnesota Rules 8410.0160. Cities are encouraged to consult with the LRRWMO staff early <br />on in their planning process. The LRRWMO will work closely with Cities as needed in local plan <br />preparation, review, and implementation. <br />5-12 <br />
