Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #21-048 <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING DESIGN SERVICES PROPOSAL FOR DOLOMITE <br />STREET DEMOLITION, IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #21-07 <br />WHEREAS, the City proposes to reconstruct Riverdale Drive NW between Feldspar <br />Street NW and Sunfish Lake Boulevard in 2021 under City Improvement Project #21-00; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #20-248 adopted November <br />24, 2020, the City Council accepted the design services proposal of Bolton & Menk, Inc. for <br />providing engineering services required to develop final plans and specifications for the purpose <br />of soliciting bids for the construction of Improvement Project #21-00; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #21-022 adopted January 26, <br />2021, the City Council approved the plans and specifications prepared by Bolton & Menk, Inc. <br />and authorized advertisements for bids for the construction of Improvement Project #21-00; and <br />WHEREAS, the City proposes to demolish Dolomite Street between Riverdale Drive <br />NW and U.S. Highway 10 in 2021 under City Improvement Project #21-07, including removing <br />the Dolomite Street access to U.S. Highway 10 as identified within the Highway 10 Access <br />Planning Study; and <br />WHEREAS, on February 11, 2021, the City of Ramsey's Economic Development <br />Authority recommended City Council approval for the removal of Dolomite Street between <br />Riverdale Drive and Highway 10, and approved allocating $50,000 from the EDA cash balance <br />to fund the City's portion of project costs; and <br />WHEREAS, Bolton & Menk, Inc. submitted a proposal dated January 27, 2021, for <br />providing engineering services required to develop final plans and specifications for the purpose <br />of soliciting bids for the construction of Improvement Project #21-07. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1) The Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a <br />contract with Bolton & Menk, Inc. for engineering services required to develop final <br />plans and specifications for Improvement Project #21-07, Dolomite Street Demolition <br />between Riverdale Drive and Highway 10, for and on behalf of the City of Ramsey. <br />
