Significant existing vegetation stands refers to vegetation considered `significant'. The <br />plant communities are significant based on their state of being largely intact and connected and <br />contain a sufficient representation of the original native plant community. This vegetation provides <br />—7fr <br />high ecological value in addition to the water quality and scenic values of "natural vegetation". <br />Cultural & Historic roperties <br />Historic property" means an archaeological site, standing structure, site, district, or other property <br />that is: <br />• Listed in the National Register of Historic Places or the State Register of Historic Places or <br />locally designated as a historic site under Minnesota Statutes, chapter 471; <br />• Determined to meet the criteria for eligibility to the National Register of Historic Places or <br />the State Register of Historic Places; or <br />• An unplatted cemetery that falls under the provisions of Minnesota Statutes, chapter 307, in <br />consultation with the Office of the State Archeologist. <br />One area of cultural and historic significance is located in the corridor. It does not meet the <br />definition above. The location of the first settlement in Ramsey is located within the corridor, <br />originally known as Itasca Village.
