Meeting Date: 03/23/2021 By: Chloe McGuire Brigl, Community Development Information Title: Adopt Resolution #21-070 Approving the Development Agreement for Ramsey Villas North Purpose/Background: The purpose of this case is to review a request from Rivers Bend Holdings, LLC (the "Developer") for the City Council to approve the Development Agreement for Ramsey Villas North, a three lot residential subdivision off Xkimo St and Highway 47. The City Council previously approved the final plat contingent upon approval of the Development Agreement, which is a standard contingency. The draft Development Agreement (attached) is the City's standard Development Agreement template, which has been reviewed and approved by the City Attorney. Notification: No notification required. Observations/Alternatives: Alternative 1: Adopt Resolution #21-070 approving the Development Agreement. This will allow the project to move forward as planned. Since there are no proposed changes to the City's standard Development Agreement template, Staff recommends approval of the Resolution. Alternative 2: Do not adopt Resolution #21-070. Staff is not supportive of this alternative, as this is a standard step in any development project and allows the City to hold the Developer responsible for the development. Funding Source: The Applicant is responsible for all costs associated with review. Recommendation: Staff recommends adoption of Resolution #21-070. Action: Motion to adopt Resolution #21-070 approving the Development Agreement for Ramsey Villas North.
