Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #21-084 <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE SUBMITTAL OF RIVERSTONE SOUTH TO THE <br />LEGISLATIVE -CITIZEN COMMISSION ON MINNESOTA RESOURCES (LCCMR) <br />ENVIRONMENT AND NATURAL RESOURCES TRUST FUND (ENTF) PROGRAM <br />WHEREAS, that the City of Ramsey desires to protect an area of high -quality canopy <br />cover in a natural oak savannah forest located within the Mississippi River Corridor Critical Area <br />(MRCCA); and <br />WHEREAS, that project area is subject to a development proposal for single-family <br />homes; and <br />WHEREAS, that the City of Ramsey has worked closely with the developer to maximize <br />preservation of the important ecological resources that protects the area from erosion, improves <br />water quality of the Mississippi River and provides beneficial open space and recreational <br />opportunities to current and future residents. <br />WHEREAS, that the City of Ramsey has not incurred any development costs and has not <br />entered into a written purchase agreement to acquire the property described in the Cost Breakdown <br />section on this application. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1. That the Application to LCCMR's ENRTF Program is hereby authorized. <br />2. That Tim Gladhill, Deputy City Administrator, is authorized to serve as administrator of <br />the grant on behalf of the City. <br />3. That the Mayor and City Administrator are authorized to sign agreements on behalf of the <br />City. <br />4. That the City agrees to implement the requirements of the grant if awarded funding. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Riley, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br />and the following were absent: <br />
