These woody invasives are somewhat sparsely <br />infesting the prairie and shrubland on the north, south and west sides of the park along the <br />border of the oxbow lake. Most of the restored prairie contained within the trails is free from <br />woody invasives except for a sapling or two of Siberian elm. The northernmost and <br />southernmost portions of the floodplain forest seemed to be the most densely populated with <br />woody invasives, primarily with buckthorn, while the central portion was somewhat less dense. <br />7 <br />
