Mayor Gamec introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION #05-05-130 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION ADOPTING FINDINGS OF FACT #0720 RELATING TO A <br />REQUEST FOR AN INTERIM USE PERMIT TO ESTABLISH AN OUTDOOR <br />PAINTBALL FIELD ON A PROPERTY THAT IS ZONED E-2 EMPLOYMENT <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, David Bednarczyk, president of FSL Paintball Arena, (Permittee) has <br />properly applied for an interim use permit to establish an outdoor paintball field on the property <br />generally know as 6651 141 st Ave NW and legally described as follows: <br /> <br />Lot 1, Block 1, Gateway North Industrial Park No. 5, Anoka County, Minnesota <br /> <br />(thc "Subject Property") <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />That the Applicant appeared before the Planning Commission for a public hearing pursuant <br />to Section 9.03.06 of the Ramsey City Code on April 21, 2005, and that said public hearing <br />was properly advertised and that the minutes of said public hearing are hereby incorporated <br />by reference. <br /> <br />That the subject property is located in the Gateway North Industrial Park No. 5 and is <br />approximately 11 acres in size. <br /> <br />3. That the subject property is zoned E-2 Employment District. <br /> <br />That the surrounding parcels are zoned E-2 Employment, E-1 Employment, and PUD <br />(Planned Unit Development). <br /> <br />That the Applicant has submitted a site plan to establish an outdoor paintball field on the <br />Subject Property. <br /> <br />That the playing field would be 100 feet by 150 feet and would be enclosed by twenty (20) <br />foot tall telephone poles, spaced at twenty-five (25) foot intervals, and industry standard <br />safcty compliant twenty (20) foot tall netting. <br /> <br />7. That the top of the playing field would remain open, netting would not be used as a ceiling. <br /> <br />That outdoor recreational uses are not a permitted use on properties zoned E-2 <br />Employment. <br /> <br /> <br />
