MIN DEPARTMENT OF <br />TRANSPORTATION <br />Office of Materials & Road Research <br />1400 Gervais Avenue <br />Maplewood, MN 55109-2044 <br />SEASONAL LOAD LIMIT NOTIFICATION <br />Office phone: 651-366-5592 <br />Fax: 651-366-5461 <br />Date: April 8, 2021 <br />Subject: Spring load restrictions end in southeast and metro frost zones <br />The Minnesota Department of Transportation will end spring load restrictions (SLR) in the SOUTHEAST and <br />METRO frost zones Monday, April 12, 2021 at 12:01 AM. <br />Spring load restrictions are still in effect in the SOUTH, CENTRAL, NORTH -CENTRAL and NORTH frost zones. <br />Frost zones and restricted routes can be found on the MnIDOT IIoad Iliiu711iitS u <br />Vw <br />Start and end dates and other load limit information are shown at un idot.gov/IIoadllilmiLL. <br />Overweight permits for more than 80,000 pound gross vehicle weight continue during spring load restrictions <br />and new permits will be issued if all axle and group weights are legal bxllx wdght Iliiu"7rdt ). <br />Full -summer overweight permits can be issued, during the spring load restriction period, for travel on the <br />interstate system only. <br />Middle -range overweight permits become available within each frost zone when spring load restrictions are <br />lifted.
