PUBLIC HEARINGS/COMMISSION BUSINESS <br /> <br />6.01: Public Hearing: Consider Resolution #21-058 Approving Variance for Deviation <br />from Street Name Grid for Riverstone South; Case of Capstone Homes, LLC <br /> <br />Public Hearing <br /> <br />Chairperson Bauer called the public hearing to order at 7:03 p.m. <br /> <br />Presentation <br /> <br />Senior Planner McGuire Brigl presented the staff report stating that the City’s Public Works and <br />Public Safety teams are not supportive of the requested deviation for public safety reason; <br />however, the Public Works Committee has recommended moving away from Unicorn Street and <br />allowing one deviation from the standard grid as they feel Unicorn Street may be difficult to <br />market. <br /> <br />Commissioner VanScoy commented that he appreciates the attempt to honor the Pearson name <br />and asked if there had been consideration to name the park after the Pearson family. <br /> <br />Senior Planner McGuire Brigl commented that the City already has a Pearson Park in another area <br />of Ramsey. <br /> <br />Citizen Input <br /> <br /> <br />Planning Commission/ March 4, 2021 <br />Page 2 of 16 <br /> <br />
