Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION # RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE RULES AND REGULATIONS, BURIAL LOT RIGHTS APPLICATION, AND BURIAL LOT RIGHTS TRANSFER APPLICATION FOR THE TROTT BROOK CEMETERY WHEREAS, a citizens committee has been meeting with staff over the past year for the purpose of updating the Trott Brook Cemetery burial inventory; and WHEREAS, there is a need for a policy regulating the burials at and maintenance of the Trott Brook Cemetery; and WHEREAS, staff drafted a set of Rules and Regulati6ns forpurchasing grave lots, interments, disinterments, maintenance and care, monuments and markers, and plantings and decorations based upon a review of other municipal cemetery policies and recommendations from staff and committee members; and WHEREAS, a burial lot rights application was developed for city records to show ownership for the open plots and/or lots as they are purchased in the future; and WHEREAS, a burial lot rights transfer application was developed to document any transfer of ownership of plots and/or lots. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the City Council of the City of Ramsey adopts the Rules and Regulations, Burial Lot Rights Application and Burial Lot Rights Transfer Application for the Trott Brook Cemetery. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereofi and the Ibllowing voted against the same: and the fbllowing abstained: and the following were absent: Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 12th day of July 2005. -217-
