ACCEPT PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND ORDER BIDS <br /> FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #05-27 <br />WELCOME'S ROAD STREET GRADING AND PAVING IMPROVEMENTS <br />By Steven Jankowski, City Engineer <br /> <br />Background: <br />The City received a petition for street grading and pavement improvements on December <br />10, 2004. The petition received requested that the following segments of street; 163ra <br />Lane from Variolite Street to Uranimite Street; Uranimite Street from 163rd Lane to 164th <br />Lane; 164th Lane from Uranimite Street to Sapphire Street; Sapphire Street from 164th <br />Lane to 164th Avenue; and 164th Avenue from Sapphire Street to a point 300 feet east <br />thereof, hereafter which shall be referred to as Welcome's Road, be considered for <br />improvements consisting of grading and bituminous paving. <br /> <br />The City council ordered that Plans and specifications be prepared for this work on June <br />14, 2005. Portions of these improve~ments will be financed through assessment to the <br />benefited property owners in accordance with City Code and Minnesota Statues ChaPter <br />429. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />Staff recommends the adoption of resolution #05-07-XXX-accepting plans and <br />specifications and ordering the solicitation of bids for this project. <br /> <br />Action: <br /> <br />Motion to adopt resolution #05-07-XXX accepting plans and specifications and ordering <br />the solicitation of bids for this project. <br /> <br />Reviewed By: <br /> <br />City Engineer <br />Assistant Director of Public Works <br />Finance Officer <br />Director of Public Works <br /> <br />-281- <br /> <br /> <br />
