CINEMA FACILITY CONSULTING SERVICES <br /> By: James E. Norman, City Administrator <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />During the Finance Committee meeting of June 28, 2005, staff presented to the <br />Committee several consulting service contracts that need to be addressed in the <br />immediate future. <br /> <br />The first of these consulting services is in regards to the Ramsey Town Center Cinema <br />project. <br /> <br />Mr. Paul Silk, a Ramsey resident with thirty years of experience in the motion picture <br />business, has approached the City with a contract proposal that outlines his assistance to <br />the City during negotiations for a Cinema in Town Center. <br /> <br />Attached is a copy of Mr. Silk's contract proposal which shows that Mr. Silk would be <br />retained by the City for a period of two years at a total fee of $5,000. <br /> <br />Committee Action: <br /> <br />Recommend to City Council the approval of the Contract Proposal by Mr. Paul Silk in <br />the amount of $5,000. <br /> <br />Council Action: <br /> <br />Based on the recommendation of the Finance Committee to authorize the adoption of <br />Resolution #05-07-XXX approving the Cinema Facility Consulting Services contract <br />with Mr. Paul Silk in the amount of $5,000 with funding obtained via transfer from the <br />Council Contingency fund to the budget of Community Development. <br /> <br />Reviewed By: <br /> <br />City Administrator <br />Finance Officer <br /> <br />FC: 07/12/05 <br /> <br /> <br />
