CITY COUNCIL SPECIAL WORK SESSION CITY OF RAMSEY ANOKA COUNTY STATE OF MINNESOTA The Ramsey City Council conducted a City Council Special Work Session on Tuesday, March 16, 2021, at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 7550 Sunwood Drive NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. CALL TO ORDER Mayor Kuzma called the City Council Work Session to order at 6:11 p.m. 2. TOPICS FOR DISCUSSION 2.01: City Board and Commission Interviews Administrative Services Director Lasher provided background information on the interview process the Council completes annually to fill vacant Board and Commission positions. She stated that the seats will officially be filled at the first regular meeting in April. She stated that there are currently nine applicants for the seven vacant positions. She provided background information on the process the City follows for reappointments of existing members. She noted that it has been the practice of the City to ask members if they are interested in continuing to serve and then a recommendation is made from that Board/Commission Chair as to whether that person should continue to serve. The Council will ask the same set of questions to each of the nine applicants. Administrative Services Director Lasher noted that a term is expiring on the EPB and advised the Council to add a place. She asked the Council to first consider the incumbents. Councilmember Woestehoff asked if Ms. Fetterley and Ms. Moore are active members of a Board at this time.
