Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #21-102 <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING CODE ENFORCEMENT PLAN TO HIRE <br />CONTRACTORS TO COMPLETE SIDING IN VIOLATION OF PROPERTY <br />MAINTENANCE CODE AT 5393 141ST AVE NW <br />WHEREAS, the property owner, Bryan Maki (the "Property Owner"), has an open code <br />enforcement case on the property generally known as 5393 141st Avenue NW and legally described <br />as follows: <br />LOT 18 BLK 2 FLINTWOOD HILLS 2ND ADD SUBJ TO EASE OF REC, Anoka County, <br />Minnesota <br />(the "Subject Property"); and <br />WHEREAS, the Subject Property is zoned PUD (Planned Unit Development); and <br />WHEREAS, the Subject Property is approximately 0.18 acres in size; and <br />WHEREAS, the City has most recently opened a case on the Subject Property for violations <br />related to damaged siding; and <br />WHEREAS, the violations on the Subject Property include the following: <br />a. Violations of City Code Chapter 105, Rule 1309 and the International Property <br />Maintenance Code; and <br />WHEREAS, the City inspected the property from the road on November 2, 2020 and found <br />there were violations of the siding; and <br />WHEREAS, the City sent a formal letter on November 4, 2020 requesting a repair plan for <br />the damaged siding by December 3, 2020; and <br />WHEREAS, the Property Owner stated they would find a contractor to complete the <br />necessary repairs; and <br />WHEREAS, another complaint was received about the property on February 17, 2021 <br />regarding incomplete siding of the home; and <br />WHEREAS, an inspection was conducted on March 12, 2021 with the Planning Technician, <br />and Building Official which showed inadequate siding on the principal structure; and <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the Property Owner was given an additional two (2) weeks to find a contractor; <br />RESOLUTION #21-102 <br />Page 1 of 4 <br />
