Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #21-111 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND AWARD OF <br />CONTRACT FOR 2021 PAVEMENT REJUVENATION IMPROVEMENTS, <br />IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #21-11, AND AUTHORIZING PURCHASE OF <br />PAVEMENT PATCHING TRAILER <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey adopted a budget for 2021 including $200,000 to crack <br />seal the bituminous pavement on numerous public street segments in support of the City's <br />Pavement Management Program; and <br />WHEREAS, the bid award amount for the Crack Seal Improvement of <br />$110,428.07; and <br />WHEREAS, Staff was directed to make recommendations to utilize the entire <br />2021 crack seal budget on pavement maintenance improvements; and <br />WHEREAS, Public Works Staff recommends authorizing Staff to replace the old <br />pavement patching trailer with a new trailer at a cost of $33,593; and <br />WHEREAS, Engineering Staff received a proposal from Corrective Asphalt <br />Materials in the amount of $41,272.12 to apply Reclamite to 44,861 square yards of <br />bituminous pavement on numerous street segments within the City, and their proposal <br />shall be and hereby is accepted. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1) The Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract <br />with said bidder for the construction of said improvements for and on behalf of the City of <br />Ramsey. <br />2) Staff is here by authorized and directed to purchase a paving patching trailer in an amount <br />not to exceed $33,593. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />
