Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #21-107 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR 2021 NEIGHBORHOOD PAVEMENT OVERLAY IMPROVEMENTS, IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #21-04 WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey proposes to overlay the pavement on numerous neighborhood street segments in 2021 as identified within the 2021 — 2030 Capital Improvement Program; and WHEREAS, funding for this improvement is proposed to come from the Pavement Management Fund and Stormwater Utility Fund with a total estimated project cost of $594,000; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council resolution #21-011 adopted January 12, 2021, the City Engineer has prepared plans and specifications for the purpose of advertising for bids for the same improvements. WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council resolution #21-074, adopted March 23, 2021, the City Council approved final plans and specifications as prepared by the City Engineer and authorized advertisement for bids for said improvements; and WHEREAS, seven (7) bids were received, opened, and tabulated on April 19, 2021, and the following bids were found to comply with the approved plans and specifications and advertisements for bids; and CONTRACTOR TOTAL BID North Valley, Inc. $ 421,410.74 Asphalt Surface Technologies Corp. $ 474,072.35 Valley Paving, Inc. $ 481,664.65 Omann Brothers Paving, Inc. $ 489,179.83 Bituminous Roadways, Inc. $ 498,293.55 Northwest $ 501,577.81 Rum River Contracting $ 577,174.09 WHEREAS, the bid of North Valley, Inc. of Nowthen, Minnesota, in the amount of $421,410.74 for the total bid for construction of the improvements in accordance with the approved plans and specifications and advertisement for bids, is the lowest responsible bidder and their bid shall be and hereby is accepted.
