Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #21-108 <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR 2021 MSA <br />PAVEMENT OVERLAY IMPROVEMENTS, IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #21-05 <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey proposes to overlay the pavement on numerous <br />Municipal State Aid (MSA) street segments in 2021 as identified within the 2021 — 2030 Capital <br />Improvement Program; and <br />WHEREAS, funding for this improvement is proposed to come from the MSA Fund and <br />Stormwater Utility Fund with a total estimated project cost of $295,000; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Staff resolution #21-012, adopted January 12, <br />2021, the City Engineer has prepared plans and specifications for the purpose of advertising for <br />bids for the same improvements. <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council resolution #21-075, adopted March 23, <br />2021, the City Council approved final plans and specifications as prepared by the City Engineer <br />and authorized advertisement for bids for said improvements; and <br />WHEREAS, eight (8) bids were received, opened, and tabulated on April 19, 2021, and <br />the following bids were found to comply with the approved plans and specifications and <br />advertisements for bids; and <br />CONTRACTOR <br />TOTAL BID <br />North Valley, Inc. <br />$ 206,395.58 <br />Valley Paving, Inc. <br />$ 220,979.51 <br />Northwest <br />$ 226,862.01 <br />Park Construction Company <br />$ 229,115.44 <br />Asphalt Surface Technologies Corp. <br />$ 232,644.68 <br />Rum River Contracting <br />$ 238,757.01 <br />Bituminous Roadways, Inc. <br />$ 245,713.77 <br />Omann Brothers Paving, Inc. <br />$ 256,877.47 <br />WHEREAS, the bid of North Valley, Inc., of Nowthen, Minnesota, in the amount of <br />$206,395.58 for the total bid for construction of the improvements in accordance with the approved <br />plans and specifications and advertisement for bids, is the lowest responsible bidder and their bid <br />shall be and hereby is accepted. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1.)
