Councilmember Woestehoff introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #21-111 RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND AWARD OF CONTRACT FOR 2021 PAVEMENT REJUVENATION IMPROVEMENTS, IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #21-11, AND AUTHORIZING PURCHASE OF PAVEMENT PATCHING TRAILER WHEREAS , the City of Ramsey adopted a budget for 2021 including $200,000 to crack seal the bituminous pavement on numerous public street segments in support of the City’s Pavement Management Program; and WHEREAS , the bid award amount for the Crack Seal Improvement of $110,428.07; and WHEREAS , Staff was directed to make recommendations to utilize the entire 2021 crack seal budget on pavement maintenance improvements; and WHEREAS , Public Works Staff recommends authorizing Staff to replace the old pavement patching trailer with a new trailer at a cost of $33,593; and WHEREAS, Engineering Staff received a proposal from Corrective Asphalt Materials in the amount of $41,272.12 to apply Reclamite to 44,861 square yards of bituminous pavement on numerous street segments within the City, and their proposal shall be and hereby is accepted. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) The Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with said bidder for the construction of said improvements for and on behalf of the City of Ramsey. 2) Staff is here by authorized and directed to purchase a paving patching trailer in an amount not to exceed $33,593. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Howell, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Kuzma Councilmember Woestehoff Councilmember Howell Councilmember Heineman Councilmember Musgrove Councilmember Riley Councilmember Specht
