He would advise that the Council hold a policy discussion on how to deal with <br />density transition in areas where sewer and water is anticipated to happen relatively soon. <br /> <br />Councihnember Cook commented there may be a need for the language to be improved to allow <br />some transition where there are more cluster lots next to larger existing lots, and to allow the <br />ability to leave large parcels open. <br /> <br />Councihncmber Elvig stated his understanding was that the cluster ordinance would help in <br />staving off development a little longer and taking some of the sewer and water pressures off the <br />property owners. <br /> <br />Community Development Director Trudgeon indicated the thoughts of the Council have been <br />communicated to the cluster developments that have applied. The applicants understand what <br />the City is doing and that they will have to wait, but have requested the ability to sketch plan and <br />have discussion about the layout so they are ready to proceed. <br /> <br />Councilmember Olson stated this topic has been scheduled for a worksession discussion twice <br />when time has run short.
