<br />Application Process
<br />The telecommuting applicati„on in he completed indicating how tile telecom muting will
<br />benefit the City. Ail applicationsrn st be signed by the Department Head and then .forwarded to
<br />fint.„ an 'Resources. The 'Department Illead, Human Resources and the City Administrator will
<br />evaluate the application to 'determine iAlhether ior not the application will be approved or denied,
<br />at the sole discretion of the City Adnlinistrator, The Departrnen,t Head .will, then meet with the
<br />employee regarding the determination..„ or
<br />adequc :we:nage in the office.
<br />Telecom utin Program
<br />It is recornmend,ed, that employees who telecommute do so .for a Maximum of two da„ys per
<br />week„ or on a sh,ort-term, project 'basis. The telecommuter and the Department Ile id should,
<br />agree upon a regular schedule of work hours and work location., Following the regulai- work,
<br />schedule is .neeessary to ensure maximurn accessibilityowever, the employee must be
<br />viUin and able to retunn, to the primary work place at the ,request of the Department Heaci
<br />for any reason with minimal .notice„ ut :n.ot 2Teater than hours' :notice., An employee's
<br />salary benefits and 'job responsibilities win not be affected by participating in,
<br />telecornnluting. Overtime must have prior appi val A remote work, site is considered a City
<br />work space and the employee, threfre, continues to be governed by ,applicable City
<br />policies, procedures, or pra„ctices.
