CC Regular Session 7, 6, <br />Meeting Date: 05/ 11 /2021 <br />By: Bria Raines, Community Development <br />Information <br />Title <br />Adopt Resolution #21-115 Approving an Abatement of 7471 152nd Avenue NW <br />Purpose/Background: <br />Planning is seeking authorization to abate the items in violation of City Code at 7471 152nd Avenue NW. The <br />Subject Property appears to have a lawnmower salvage operation without a Home Occupation Permit as regulated <br />by 117-351. There are other public nuisance items in violation of Chapter 30 and Section 117-351 of City Code in <br />relation to the outdoor storage of machinery and home occupation, respectively. <br />Notification: <br />No notification is required. <br />Observations/Alternatives: <br />Summary: <br />• There are two code enforcement cases on the Subject Property. <br />• Photos of property document founded violations. <br />• A first notice of violation for refuse items and home occupation was sent on March 17, 2021 after a drive -by <br />inspection was conducted. <br />• A second notice of violation for refuse items and home occupation was sent on April 2, 2021. An <br />administrative citation of $75 was included with the letter. <br />• No contact has been established with the property owner regarding the condition of the Subject Property. <br />• Staff has received numerous complaints about the Subject Property. <br />Funding Source: <br />Staff handles all Code Enforcement cases as part of their regular duties. <br />Recommendation: <br />Staff recommends motion to adopt Resolution #21-115 approving an abatement of 7471 152nd Avenue NW to <br />remove items in violation of City Code including lawnmowers, machinery parts, and other refuse items from the <br />property.
