MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING <br />BETWEEN THE CITY OF RAMSEY AND AMERECAN FEDERATION OF <br />STATE, COUNTY, AND MUNICIPAL EMPLOYEES (AFSCME) <br />January 1, 2021 to December 31, 2021 as described below: <br />M.O.U. TEMPORARY EMPLOYEES <br />The purpose of this Memorandum of Understanding (MOL) is to memorialize the <br />agreementbetweefl the City of Rainsey (the EMFLOYBR) and the American. Federation <br />of State, County, and Municipal Employees (.AFSCME) conceiving temporary employees <br />as defined in Article 2 of the Collective Bargaining Agreement; TEMPORARY FULL <br />TIME .AND/OR TEMPORARY PART-TIME UNION MEMBERS. <br />The EMPLOYER may hire up to six (6) temporary maintenance workers including two (2) <br />EMPLOYEES in the Paiks Division, two (2) EMPLOYEES in the Streets Division, and <br />two (2) EMPLOYEES in the Utilities Division. The terms and conditions of employment <br />for TEMPORARY FULL-TIME AND/OR TEMPORARY PART-TIME UNION <br />MEMBERS include, but are not limited to the following: <br />L shall be scheduled to work up to a maximum of 210 days in a calendar year and <br />will be a union member beginning the first day of then employment; and <br />2, shall not be eligible for vacation time, sick leave, holiday pay, health insurance, <br />life insurance or any other fringe benefit unless otherwise dictated by the <br />Affordable Care Act; and <br />3. shall be paid at a rate of 80% of step one of the maintenance workei' wage scale <br />and will not be eligible for step changes; and <br />4, shall not be entitled to protections under Article 16 - Layoffs, including rights to <br />recall; and <br />5. shall not be entitled to the protections Under Article 19 — Discipline; and <br />6, may be terminated at the sole discretion of the EMPLOYER during the entire <br />period of temporary employment, regardless of whether the length of temporary <br />employment exceeds the six month probationary period provided for in Article <br />17.1; and <br />7, shall, in the event of being hired as a regular employee, have no time credited <br />tow74 probation, <br />FORT1 � CfljYOF <br />BY: <br />Maoi/ <br />City Administrator <br />} <br />/ Z.- -7- 2(,), <br />Date <br />Date <br />
