Come Work With Us! The City of Ramsey is hiring for the following positions: • Seasonal Maintenance Workers — Must be at least 17 years of age or older. Temporary full-time positions. You will provide general maintenance of streets, park grounds, trails, buildings, and related facilities and equipment through the spring, summer and fall months. Rate of pay is $13.00 to $15.00 depending on qualifications. These positions are open until filled — so apply immediately if you are interested. • Accounting Clerk— Full-time position. Perform finance, accounting and administrative activities, including but not limited to accounts payable and accounts receivable functions. Will also serve as a back-up processing for bi-weekly payroll. Rate of pay is $22.585 per hour. Must be at least 18 years of age or older and possess at least an Associate's Degree. This is an AFSCME union position. This position is open until 11:59 pm on Sunday, June 20, 2021. • Deputy City Administrator/Community Development Director — Full-time position. This individual is responsible for the planning and implementation of assistance programs for development and redevelopment of residential, commercial and industrial land that help shape a vibrant, sustainable community. Works to provide cross functional administrative project leadership, capital development project administration, and management analysis for the organization. Salary range: $106,613 to $133,266 annually. This position is open until 11:59 pm on Sunday. July 11, 2021. Attached to the Weekly Update is a City of Ramsey - Come Work With Us Flyer. Flag Day Ceremony and Picnic. John and Bonnie Enstrom are hosting Minnesota's largest flag retirement ceremony with a picnic to follow Monday, June 14, at 3:00 pm at Veterans Lake in Ramsey, 8702 181' Avenue NW. Bring your family and friends to witness the process of retiring Old Glory alongside the Elk River American Legion Post 112 Honor Guard. Bring a lawn chair and a dish to share for the picnic. This event is open to the public; you don't have to be a Veteran to attend! For more information, call John at 763-441-4086. City Offers Water Efficiency Rebates! You could qualify for $200 by replacing an existing irrigation controller or toilet with a WaterSense labeled device. The City is offering water efficiency rebates for qualifying City water customers. By replacing an existing controller or toilet with a WaterSense labeled device, you could receive a rebate for the cost of the device or $200 - whichever is less. To qualify, you must be a City of Ramsey water customer, must be replacing an existing device and the new device must be U.S. EPA WaterSense labeled. Learn more at: www.citvoframsev.com/750/Rebates. Community Partners needed for Adopt -a -Flag Program. The City of Ramsey is gathering sponsorships as part of its Adopt -a -Flag program. The Adopt -a -Flag Program calls for community partners — both in the business and residential community — to sponsor a flag that will be affixed to a light pole along Sunwood Drive. A Friends -of -the -Flag Level Sponsorship is $50 and a Patriot Level Sponsorship is $500. This covers the cost of supplies as well as an engraved plaque which will be on display at Ramsey City Hall. Patriot Sponsors will also have an engraved nameplate affixed to the light pole. Adopting a flag can also serve as a symbol to honor the memory of a loved one.
