WHEREAS, the City Council discussed the proposed case for abatement with the Property <br />Owner at their regular meeting on April 13, 2021; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council granted a thirty (30) day extension to resolve all violations at <br />their regular meeting on April 13, 2021; and <br />WHEREAS, the thirty (30) day extension granted by the City Council on April 13, 2021 has <br />expired as of May 14, 2021; and <br />WHEREAS, the Property Owner has not been making continued progress of the cleanup <br />required onsite. <br />FINDINGS OF FACT <br />1. The City inspected the property from the road on: <br />a. January 15, 2021; and <br />b. March 2, 2021; and <br />c. May 17, 2021 <br />2. The City sent formal notices via US Mail on: <br />a. January 15, 2021 for a first notice of violation requesting the reduction in the number <br />of motor vehicles, application of a fence permit for the fence onsite, and removal or <br />storage of items being stored outside. The notice cited City Code requesting a limit of <br />six (6) vehicles, that all vehicles be parked on an improved surface, and that no more <br />than one (1) inoperable vehicles were allowed on the property. <br />b. March 2, 2021 for a first notice of violation requesting the reduction in the number of <br />motor vehicles, application of a fence permit for the fence onsite, and removal or <br />storage of items being stored outside. The notice cited City Code requesting a limit of <br />six (6) vehicles, that all vehicles be parked on an improved surface, and that no more <br />than one (1) inoperable vehicles were allowed on the property. An administrative <br />citation of $75 was included. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THIS CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />That the Ramsey City Council hereby grants approval of the proposed code enforcement action plan <br />on the Subject Property as outlined below, contingent upon verification of any violation(s) of City <br />Code: <br />1. The City of Ramsey shall utilize Northstar Towing and Reshetar Systems Inc. for abatement <br />services per City policy. <br />2. That the week of June 9, 2021, the City of Ramsey will work with abatement contractors <br />listed above to tow vehicles from the Subject Property until six (6) remain. <br />RESOLUTION #21-098 <br />Page 2 of 4 <br />
