Associate Planncr Geisler stated they will be owned by the current owners of the property, and <br />maintained as they are now in their natural state. <br /> <br />Ms. Finklhaer asked about the price range of the homes. <br /> <br />M r. S lerner stated that has not been determined, but noted that one of the developers lives on the <br />property, and will continue to live there. He indicated the homes will not detract from the value <br />o1" the surrounding homes. <br /> <br />Commissioner Van Scoy asked why Kelly Acres is being platted with outlots for future streets, <br />crc. but V, um River Prairie is being looked at in terms of ghost platting. <br /> <br />Associatc Planner Geisler stated Rum River Prairie will also be outlots, but there could be fewer. <br />She indicated tile streets could still be platted. <br /> <br />Mike }~crmis, 8860 168m Avenue, stated he has lived in Ramsey since 1981. He indicated he has <br />a little understanding of things that happened to the City in those years, but he does not see a lot <br />o£ sense or reasoning on the way this property will develop versus Tiger Meadows that developed <br />last year. I lc stated this seems worse than what they saw in their first Ramsey house on Fluorine <br />Street in the late 1980's, and the development then is one reason they chose to leave. He <br />indicated they were told then that the development was being laid out in that manner because of <br />sewer and water. <br /> <br />Mr. Bcrmis stated he and his wife commute 25 to 30 miles a day because they do not want to live <br />in a dcvclop~nent area. He thinks this will hurt the area, and he has many concerns. He indicated <br />hc does not know how this makes sense when they do not know if sewer and water will come in <br />the next 25 years. He stated he would guess it is a money issue, but he does not understand the <br />ralionalc. <br /> <br />Ms. l:ink Il ncr indicated she thought it pretty bold of the developer to say they were going to put a <br />road through her property, and then put an easement to their septic system on her property also. <br /> <br />Assistant Community Development Director Frolik explained the developer was doing what code <br />requires. She stated the request is to <br />change thc land use designation from Rural Developing to Low Density Residential on the <br />property on the east side of Highway 47, north of the Boy Scout Camp.
