Councilmember Musgrove introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #21-164 <br />RESOLUTION TO HIRE A PUBLIC WORKS STREETS MAINTENANCE WORKER <br />BACKFILLING A VACANT POSITION <br />WHEREAS, there is a current vacancy in the Public Works department; and <br />WHEREAS, an external recruitment process was conducted; and <br />WHEREAS, Mr. William Bellefeuille has been selected as the top candidate for the <br />position; and <br />WHEREAS, staff have completed the necessary background checks and are <br />recommending that Mr. William Bellefeuille be hired as a full-time Public Works Parks <br />Maintenance Worker, effective on or near June 14, 2021 at $23.679 per hour; and <br />WHEREAS, Mr. William Bellefeuille will be subject to a 6-month probationary period; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, Mr. William Bellefeuille will be subject to the terms of the applicable labor <br />agreement and the City's Personnel Policy. <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1) Motion to adopt resolution #21-164 to hire Mr. William Bellefeuille as a full-time Public <br />Works Streets Maintenance Worker, effective on or near June 14, 2021, at $23.679 per <br />hour, which is step 1 of the 2021 wage scale. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Heineman, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />Mayor Kuzma <br />Councilmember Musgrove <br />Councilmember Heineman <br />Councilmember Howell <br />Councilmember Riley <br />Councilmember Specht <br />Councilmember Woestehoff <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />None <br />
