CC Work Session 2.4. <br />Meeting Date: 06/22/2021 <br />Information <br />Title: <br />Discussion Regarding Union Contract Negotiations for AFSCME, LELS-Patrol, LELS-Sergeants & <br />LELS-Captains (Discussion Closed to the Public) <br />Purpose/Background: <br />The purpose of this discussion is to provide the City Council with an update on the status of negotiations and to <br />receive feedback from the City Council in order to continue negotiations with each group. <br />Per Minnesota Statutes 13D.03, which states: "The governing body of a public employer may by a majority vote in <br />a public meeting decide to hold a closed meeting to consider strategy for labor negotiations, including negotiation <br />strategies or developments or discussion and review of labor negotiation proposals, conducted pursuant to sections <br />179A.01 to 179A.25" staff is requesting that the City Council go into closed session to discuss the City's labor <br />negotiations strategy for its four union contracts.
