Ramsey's Lano Equipment Celebrates 75Years <br />Ramsey's Lano Equipment is proud to celebrate 75 years of business in the state of Minnesota. Lano Equipment sells <br />and services construction, landscaping and agricultural equipment to everyone from large corporations to small busi- <br />nesses and private homeowners. <br />The company is a professional provider of over 40 different brands of construction and lawn care equipment. Cus- <br />tomers can purchase or rent skid steer loaders, excavators, tractors, mowers, stump grinders and more. <br />According to co-founder, Hauser Lano, Melroe Bobcat has played a big part in the success of the dealership. From <br />just a few machines sold per year in the early 1960s, Lano Equipment has grown to be one of the largest Bobcat dealers <br />in the world. <br />Lano Equipment is a second -generation, family -owned equipment dealership established by four brothers — Hauser, <br />Joe, Dick and Benny — in 1946. The family had recently returned from <br />military service and needed to find a way to provide for their families - <br />and so the first "Lano's Body -Fender Works" was established in Chaska, <br />MN. <br />The company later moved to its 16,000 sq. ft. facility in Shakopee <br />and expanded to include a location in Loretto shortly thereafter. In <br />1991, Lano Equipment opened its Ramsey location to better serve the <br />northern suburbs and surrounding agriculture and construction mar- <br />kets. <br />Today, Lano Equipment is owned and operated by Joe Jr., Roger, <br />Gary, Rod, Brad and Kurt Lano.
