Anoka County
Discontinues Library
on the Go in Ramsey
The Anoka County "Library on the Go" has been
discontinued at the Ramsey Municipal Center location.
According to the Anoka County Library Executive
Director, the book drop box will also be discontinued for
book drop-off, but stay in -place to be used by the Anoka
County License Center (ACLC).
Most equipment was removed due to malfunc-
tion or lack of use. During the pandemic, the Library
stopped servicing locations across the County due to
staffing shortages. The Anoka County Library looked
at post -pandemic options of reopening in the existing
location or moving to another location at City Hall and,
after analysis, they determined that they would close
the facility. The Anoka Library (north ofAnoka High
School on Bunker lake Road) is the nearest facility for
Ramsey residents.
Park and Recreation
Commission Summer
Meeting Schedule
The Park and Recreation Commission will be meeting
in a neighborhood near you, by holding outdoor meetings
within City parks around the community.
July - The Draw Park, 7401 East Ramsey Parkway
NW - north side of Sunwood Drive NW at Rhinestone
Street NW & Ramsey Parkway NW
August — Rivers' Bend Park, 5000 142nd Lane NW,
Access at 142nd Avenue NW and Waco Street NW
September — Elmcrest Park, 16303 Quicksilver Street
NW — south of 167th Avenue NW at Quicksilver Street
NW
The Park and Recreation Commission meets on the
second Thursday of each month at 6:30 pm.
