<br />Councilmember Riley introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #21-171 <br /> <br />APPROVING OBTAINING QUOTES FOR RENOVATION AND LEASE OF OLD TOWN <br />HALL <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, <br />the Old Ramsey Town Hall is a historic building on the Historic Registry <br />that is in need of repairs and renovation; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS <br /> , the City worked with the U of M and the Resilient Communities Project <br />(RCP) in 2017-2018 (the “RCP Reports”) to assess the condition, potential use and restoration of <br />this historic building; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS <br />, the RCP Reports recommended not moving the structure and to 1) <br />Climatize and 2) Perform a Pre Occupancy Upgrade and to put the building back into service; <br />and <br />WHEREAS <br />, Based upon review of the RCP Reports the costs to fully renovate the Old <br />Ramsey Town Hall and to prepare it for occupancy are under $50,000; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS <br />, the City has been approached by Small Town Girl Boutique and has been <br />presented an offer to lease the Old Town Hall once repairs/renovations are completed; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS <br /> , the EDA met on June 10, 2021 and made a recommendation to obtain <br />quotes, complete the renovation and to enter into exclusive negotiations with Small Town Girl <br />Boutique. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br /> <br />1)That the City of Ramsey authorize staff to obtain bids for the 1) Climatization and 2) Pre- <br />Occupancy Upgrade outlined in the RCP Reports and to bring back quotes for City Council <br />consideration <br /> <br />2)That the City enter into exclusive lease negotiation with Small Town Girl Boutique for <br />lease of the Old Ramsey Town Hall. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Woestehoff and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br /> Mayor Kuzma <br /> Councilmember Riley <br /> Councilmember Woestehoff <br /> Councilmember Heineman <br /> Councilmember Howell <br /> Councilmember Musgrove <br /> Councilmember Specht <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />
