<br /> <br />Councilmember Riley introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #21-188 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING RISK AND RESILIENCE ASSESSMENT FOR <br />AMERICA’S WATER INFRASTRUCTURE ACT OF 2018 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, <br />Congress adopted the America’s Water Infrastructure Act in 2018 to require <br /> <br />public water systems to develop or update risk assessments and emergency response plans, and ; <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, <br />The City of Ramsey is public water system covered by the act, and; <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, <br />Engineering staff brought a proposal to the November 17, 2020 Public Works <br />Committee to accept a proposal from a consultant to prepare the risk and resiliency assessment. <br />The committee discussed the proposal and determined that staff time would still be required with <br /> <br />a consultant doing the work so the Committee voted to have staff complete the assessment, and; <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, <br />City Engineering Staff has completed the Risk Assessment for the City of <br />Ramsey water system, and the plan must be submitted to the Environmental Protection Agency of <br />the United States on or before June 30, 2021. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFOREBE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />, <br />Ramsey, MINNESOTA AS FOLLOWS <br />: <br /> <br />1) City staff has completed the risk assessment for the City water system and has presented it <br />to City Council for review. <br /> <br />2) The Ramsey City Council authorizes the City Engineering Staff to submit the risk <br />assessment for the City water system to the Environmental Protection Agency of the United <br />States on June 30, 2021. <br /> <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Woestehoff and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br /> Mayor Kuzma <br /> Councilmember Riley <br /> Councilmember Woestehoff <br /> Councilmember Heineman <br /> Councilmember Howell <br /> Councilmember Musgrove <br /> Councilmember Specht <br /> <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br /> None <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
