City of #k:
RAMSEY
October 28th, 2020
Lori Touchette
Or Current Owner
7078 E Fish Lake Rd
Maple Grove, MN 55311
Hirschfield's
Or Current Owner
7127 Highway 10 NW
Ramsey, MN 55303
RE: Conditional Use Permit
Dear Property Owner,
7550 Sunwood Drive NW • Ramsey, MN 55303
City Hall: 763.427.1410 • Fax: 763.427.5543
www.cityoframsey.com
The City of Ramsey has received a complaint of an automotive sales business operating at 7127
Highway 10 NW. City Code Section 117-120 of Ramsey City Code states that automotive sales
businesses off of Highway 10 need a Conditional Use Permit (CUP). We do not have a
Conditional Use Permit on file for motor vehicle sales, and kindly request that you apply for one
to continue motor vehicle sales.
Violations have been noted by City Staff including inoperable, unlicensed, triple -stacked
vehicles, parked on the grass/gravel. City Code Section 117-356 states that inoperable vehicles
and equipment are not acceptable; all vehicles must be in accordance with City Code Section
117-356. All vehicles must be licensed, operable, parked on bituminous/concrete/class V, double
stacked at the most, and have current tabs.
If you are unfamiliar with the Conditional Use Permit process, I've attached a copy of the City's
guide for more information. In summary, a completed Land Use Application must be submitted
to the City with $1,000 ($200 application fee, $800 escrow) to be placed on the agenda for the
next Planning Commission meeting where they will make a recommendation to City Council to
approve or deny your request. If the request is approved, motor vehicle sales operations may
continue.
If the City does not receive an application within the next fourteen (14) days, and operations
continue, we will move forward with our violation process. We appreciate your cooperation and
look forward to working with you.
Sincerely,
It is our mission to work together to responsibly grow our community, and to provide quality, cost-effective and efficient government
services.
