Police Officer <br />Bargaining Unit: Patrol <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />Established Date: Aug 3, 2017 <br />Revision Date: Mar 5, 2021 <br />Class Code: <br />1 5008-A <br />SALARY RANGE <br />$28.07 Hourly <br />PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION: <br />Police Officers perform responsible police work involving the protection and safety of the <br />community through prevention and control of crime, maintaining or restoring public order, <br />investigating crime, regulating traffic, enforcing laws, and providing emergency services; as <br />well as other related duties as required. <br />This is an LELS Union position <br />The 2021 wage scale is as follows: <br />First Year $28.069/hour - 2nd Year $32.4001hour - 3rd Year $3 .4 /hour - 4th Year <br />$33.4 hour - Top $4 500/hour <br />MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: <br />• Must possess an Associate's degree in Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement or <br />equivalent qualifications meeting the State of Minnesota's requirements to become an <br />Officer <br />• Must be P...T. full-time licensed or eligible to be P..S.T. full-time licensed by <br />Wednesday, April 14, 2021 <br />• Must possess a valid driver's license in good standing <br />• Must be available and satisfactorily pass our physical agility test Saturday, April 17, <br />2021 <br />• Must satisfactorily pass a criminal history investigation <br />• Must satisfactorily pass a psychological examination <br />• Must satisfactorily pass a physical examination and drug screen <br />
