CC Regular Session <br />Meeting Date: 06/22/2021 <br />By: Kathy Schmitz, Administrative Services <br />Information <br />7. 1. <br />Title: <br />Adopt Resolution #21-190 Authorizing Partial Payment No. 2 to Kuechle Underground, Inc. for Improvement <br />Project #21-00, Riverdale Drive Reconstruction, Feldspar Street to Sunfish Lake Boulevard <br />Purpose/Background: <br />Resolution and pay estimate No. 2 attached. <br />As would normally be the case, this item was intended to be presented on this evening's consent agenda. However, <br />this did not occur due to a procedural issue on the City's end. The contractor, Kuechle Underground, Inc., <br />submitted their partial payment request on time and according to the Contract the City must make progress <br />payments on or about the 25th day of each month during performance of the Work if the contractor submits their <br />payment request in a timely manner. Payment must therefore be processed this evening, and since this error was not <br />discovered until late Monday afternoon a case needed to be added to the regular agenda Tuesday morning to <br />process payment. <br />As always, when issues such as this occur, Staff reviews all pertinent processes and procedures and implements <br />improvements to prevent such oversights from occurring in the future.
