<br />Councilmember Musgrove introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #21-198 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING HIRING CONTRACTORS TO ABATE OFF-STREET <br />th <br />PARKING ITEMS FROM 5991 146 AVENUE NW <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the property owner Catherine Gacheru (the “Property Owner”) has an open <br />th <br />code enforcement case on the property generally known as 5991 146 Avenue NW and legally <br />described as follows: <br /> <br />LOT 2 BLOCK 2 CHESTNUT RIDGE 2ND ADD, Anoka County, Minnesota (the <br />“Subject Property”); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Subject Property is an owner-occupied property; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Subject Property is zoned R-1 Residential (MUSA); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Subject Property is approximately .24 acres in size; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City has recently opened a case on the Subject Property for violations <br />related to off-street parking and public nuisances; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City sent a recent formal first notice of violation on May 25, 2021 for <br />public nuisances and off-street parking; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City sent a recent second notice of violation on June 10, 2021 for off- <br />street parking; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City sent a recent third notice of violation on July 2, 2021 for off-street <br />parking; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey City Code would allow the Subject Property to properly <br />store all items in accordance with Section 117-355 regarding residential off-street parking; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the residential off-street parking in the City Code prohibits the storing of <br />vehicles on grass in the R-1 Rural Developing zoning district; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the residential off-street parking in the City Code prohibits the storing of <br />inoperable vehicles in the front yard or driveway; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the vehicle appears unmoved from current place for at least a year; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Property Owner was given an extension to properly store or remove the <br />inoperable vehicle. <br /> <br /> <br />
